Varifocal Glasses - No Line Between You and Clear Vision
It is a known fact that there are two kinds of vision disorders – namely myopia and hyperopia. People suffering from myopia find it hard to view objects at a distance while the hyperopic patients cannot see objects located near to them. As the patients are suffering from a single vision problem, they can wear a single vision glasses to solve the issue. These prescription glasses have a single power on the lenses, and they work just fine to offer a better eyesight. But when the same patient develops presbyopia which results from the increasing age, they need more than one focal point on their lenses. This is where the multifocal glasses come in.

Multifocal glasses comprise of bifocals, trifocals and varifocal glasses. Bifocal glasses and trifocal glasses are two of the oldest known multifocal glasses. But one major disadvantage of these prescription glasses is the presence of the lines on the lenses which divides the different areas dedicated to different power. Not only do these lines make these bifocals and trifocals look unattractive and devoid of any fashion sense, they also result in causing image jumps due to the drastic change of the power. This sudden change inevitably leads to headaches for the users.

These issues can be solved using the varifocal glasses. Varifocal glasses are also known as the no-line glasses or progressive glasses. The lenses of the varifocal glasses have the lowest power at the top of the lenses which keeps gradually increasing as one moves towards the lower part and it reaches its maximum at the bottommost part of the lenses. Much like the bifocal and trifocal, the upper part of the lenses are used for distance viewing while the lower part is used to see nearby objects clearly. But unlike the other multifocals, the middle part of the lenses can be used to view objects at an average length, for example, the computer screen.

The lenses of the varifocal glasses also don’t have any line running through them which completely reduces any chance of image jump. As the power increases gradually, there is no sudden and drastic change of power as well, leading to a better view and a more comfortable eyewear experience. To get the cheapest varifocal glasses, one should look through the catalogue at the online stores. The varifocal glasses at these glasses online stores are available for half the price at any retail store, and like the rest, ensure there is no line between you and a clear vision.
